Temporary School Closure - 05.01.2026

Please be aware that school will be closed tomorrow, Monday 5th January 2026, due to emergency repair works taking place.

Contractors were at school yesterday and are back again today, preparing an area of the car-park so that they can reach and fix some collapsed pipework which has been causing a significant underground water leak. For the repairs to continue to take place tomorrow, the water will need to be turned off at the mains. This will mean no running water throughout the school which is why we will need to be closed.

At this stage, we expect the repairs to be completed tomorrow and therefore school to be open, as normal, on Tuesday.

We appreciate that not opening school tomorrow will cause a number of issues for some families, especially regarding childcare and we are sorry for the inconvenience caused. We were looking forward to seeing your child and welcoming them back for their first day of term.

As we cannot provide face-to-face teaching tomorrow, we have a responsibility to make remote education available for your child, if they are in Reception to Y6. You will receive this, via email, tomorrow morning.

If you have any questions or concerns or had a meeting scheduled at school tomorrow, please inform the school office, via email.

I will update families tomorrow, including regarding school re-opening on Tuesday, once I have this confirmed.
