DAY 1- How to write a recount. Today we are going to be learning how to write a good recount about something you have done in the past. Have a look at the PowerPoint, which you will need to refer to throughout the week, then complete the worksheet below:

DAY 2- Planning your recount. Have a look at yesterday's PowerPoint again. Today you are going to plan your own recount. You are going to tell me about a trip you have been on recently. Maybe you have been to the park or a forest. Use the worksheets below to help you to plan your ideas- choose the one you prefer:

DAY 3- Create a story map of your visit. Here is an example of the start of my story map about a trip I went on, to the park. Have a look at the video to find out more:

DAY 4- Writing your recount. Use your plan to help you to write your recount. I have included my example to help you. Have a look at this PowerPoint before you begin too:

DAY 5: Finish writing your recount and then use the Recount Checklist below to make sure you have included all the features of a recount. Don't forget to send me any work on Purple Mash:
