Healthy Eating Booklet
Lockdown has been very challenging for children and young people, one study has shown that there has been a 40% increase in snacking. Unfortunately the foods most often chosen for snack are high in sugar and fat.
Barnet Council have provided a child friendly online booklet that contains info about healthy eating, healthy snacking, physical activity and sleep. Research shows that teaching children the food groups is a good foundation for learning about nutrition and developing healthy habits. Please encourage them to read this booklet, or go through it with younger children.
