Updated Letter to Parents & Carers - 11th May 2020

Monday 11th May, 2020

Dear Parents and Carers,

As I am sure you are now aware, the Prime Minister indicated during his speech yesterday evening that the government believes it may be in a position to implement a phased re-opening of schools from after half term, Monday 1st June, starting with pupils in Reception, Year 1 and Year 6.

This is part of the government’s conditional plan which it says will remain under regular review.

I am sure that you, like so many people, have a range of mixed feelings and reactions to this news and I assure you that our first priority is the safety of everyone in the whole school community.

We are now waiting to receive more information from the government and Barnet local authority about what this means for Coppetts Wood Primary School but, for now, nothing has changed and we will continue providing childcare for a small number of children and home learning for everyone else.

I will provide further information in the coming days and weeks and thank you for your continued understanding and support.

Keep well, stay staff and take care!

With Best Wishes,

Kirstie Barrett

Head Teacher
