This week the children of Coppetts Wood were lucky enough to be visited by Saffron Severn, the Junior Rhythmic Gymnastics Champion for Great Britain in 2019.

Throughout the morning, the children participated in training circuits, practising their push-ups, mountain climbers, star jumps and squats!

After the training circuit, Saffron hosted a special assembly for the children where she shared her gymnastics story, highlighting all the handwork, determination and perseverance she put in, especially after she bounced back from a broken foot in 2022 at the beginning of the year to be selected for the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games where she and her teammates picked up bronze (the first time in history for England)!

The children thoroughly enjoyed the event and were able to take away great pieces of advice to help them achieve their dreams in the future!
